Class A CDL Delivery Driver (Moffett Operator) Full Time
Capital Railing, LLC, one of the Mid-Atlantic's leading vinyl fencing and railing fabricators, is seeking an experienced, dependable Class A CDL Delivery Driver with Moffett forklift experience to join our growing team.
This is a local, home-daily position responsible for delivering railing and fencing materials to residential and commercial job sites throughout the region. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and takes pride in delivering quality service while representing the company professionally.
This position is best suited for drivers who enjoy local routes, working as part of a team, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and accountability. Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Local deliveries (home daily)
- Typical start time: 6:00–7:00 a.m.
- Overtime may be available during peak business periods.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A CDL commercial vehicle.
- Transport and deliver railing and fencing materials to residential and commercial job sites.
- Operate a Moffett forklift to safely unload materials.
- Verify delivery paperwork and ensure shipment accuracy before leaving the facility.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Maintain accurate DOT logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and coworkers.
- Follow all DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Assist with loading, securing materials, and warehouse activities as operational needs require.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum two (2) years of Class A driving experience
- Minimum two (2) years of Moffett forklift experience
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Dependable attendance and commitment to safety
Preferred
- Building materials delivery experience
- Flatbed delivery experience
- Forklift certification
Work Environment
This position combines driving, equipment operation, and physical work. Drivers are responsible for unloading materials at customer job sites using a Moffett forklift and may occasionally assist with loading, securing materials, or other warehouse-related duties. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to safely lift, move, and handle building materials throughout the workday.
