What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Junior's Class Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds. We will all be working toward a common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children ages 5-8 with hands on STEM activities, and block/beginner coding. This individual oversees lesson plans and scheduled Junior's classes that we offer each week. They review fundamentals and vocabulary with fun activities and games, they provide instructions and oversee different STEM activities biweekly, and they assist with lessons on block picture and block with text coding. STEM activities include but are not limited to circuits, engineering projects, robotics, 3-D Print, game design, and so much more. Lessons provided, but new ideas and activities are welcome.

Responsibilities include:
- Create fun and engaging activities for weekly cohort
- Keep track of children's progress, behavior, and struggles, in order to communicate with parents- Supplies provided
- Use available curriculum to set up a quarterly lesson plan/session schedule- Supplies provided
- Create a FUN interactive experience to keep students excited and engaged
- Check students in and out with parents in the front lobby
- Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow
- Work with children to encourage new skill sets in computer science
- Provide feedback to parents after working with students or while parents are enjoying a center tour
- Clean dojo throughout the shift to ensure cleanliness is kept to standards
- Report to Center Director with respect to the days’ activities and productivity
Qualifications:
- History with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, babysitting, tutoring, teaching etc.)
· Experience with in person communication
- Experience or desire in teaching, mentoring, or coaching
· Works well with others; collaborates
· Knowledgeable about technology; able to quickly pick up basic concepts
- Must like working in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently

***Quarterly raises and bonuses available dependent upon performance, and enrolment.
