Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment using appropriate lifting techniques and tools such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Transport items to designated locations using box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual or automatic transmissions
- Assist customers with moving needs by providing excellent customer service and clear communication throughout the process
- Load and secure items properly within the vehicle to prevent damage during transit
- Drive route-specific delivery trucks while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws
- Assist in the setup and placement of furniture or equipment at the destination site
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving equipment, trucks, and storage areas
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse work, moving, or delivery driving is highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients during their move
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a nice-to-have but not required; training can be provided
- Strong physical stamina, attention to safety procedures, and teamwork orientation
