Mr. Lincoln is a luxury craft cocktail bar in downtown Durham opening in summer 2026. Our cocktails are crafted with fresh ingredients and served with welcoming hospitality. We will have a small menu of shareables and light bites available all night long.

Job Summary:
Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
○ Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and specifications.
○ Ensure that all food is prepared safely and to the highest quality standards.
2. Cooking:
○ Cook menu items across various stations, such as grill, sauté, and fry. ○ Monitor and maintain cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked properly.
3. Sanitation and Cleanliness:
○ Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
○ Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
4. Inventory Management:
○ Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels and helping with inventory counts.
○ Properly store and label food items to reduce waste.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
○ Work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
○ Communicate effectively with the kitchen manager regarding inventory needs and any kitchen issues
6. Flexibility:
○ Be adaptable to changes in menu items or special requests from customers.
○ Assist with special events or catering as needed.
Qualications:
● Kitchen experience, with at least 1 year on the line
● Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills.
● Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn.
Compensation:
● Hourly starting at: $18
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
