Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Driver Management Specialist (司机管理专员) at the entry level for new graduates. In this role, you will support the coordination and management of driver activities, optimize transportation operations, and ensure smooth dispatching processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in logistics, transportation planning, and fleet management within a dynamic environment.
Driver Management Specialist (New Grad Preferred)Recent graduates are encouraged to apply! We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Driver Recruitment Support: Assist the HR team with job postings, resume screening, interviews, pre-employment communication, onboarding coordination, and maintaining the candidate pipeline.
- Background Checks & DOT Compliance: Coordinate and track Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks, background screenings, Drug & Alcohol testing, and ensure all driver licenses, medical certificates, and compliance documents remain valid and up to date.
- New Driver Onboarding & Training: Organize and conduct new driver orientation, including safety training, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, company SOPs, and customer requirements.
- Scheduling & Attendance: Prepare and maintain driver schedules, monitor attendance and shift coverage, handle replacement requests, and coordinate with dispatchers and fleet coordinators.
- Performance & Discipline Management: Support driver performance evaluations, monitor driving and service performance, manage policy violations, and assist with disciplinary actions and recognition programs.
- Accident Driver Management: Manage driver-related matters following accidents, including collecting driver statements, documenting injuries, coordinating post-accident drug testing, initiating disciplinary procedures when necessary, and assisting with insurance claim documentation.
- Reporting & Record Management: Maintain driver records, licenses, certifications, and compliance tracking. Prepare regular reports on attendance, turnover, policy violations, accidents, and other operational metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in driver management, human resources, fleet operations, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the transportation, logistics, courier industry, or DOT compliance is a plus.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with MVR verification and DOT compliance processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; basic data analysis skills are a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate professionally with vendors and candidates via phone and email.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, responsible, organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- License: A valid U.S. driver's license is required if occasional vehicle operation or driver coverage is needed.
