Ballard Consignment is seeking a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Associate and Furniture Sales team member. In this role, you will handle daily warehouse operations—including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory management—while assisting customers on the sales floor. Duties & Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Promptly receive, log, and organize incoming inventory to maintain an efficient warehouse.
- Showroom Merchandising: Move, assemble, and arrange furniture on the sales floor to maintain an appealing retail space.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely assist consignors with loading in items and help customers load out sold furniture, ensuring maximum care to prevent damage.
- Logistics Support: Pull items from the warehouse and load company trucks for daily transfers to our other store locations.
- Facilities Maintenance: Work collaboratively to keep the workspace clean, tidy, and safe (includes dusting, vacuuming, and proper care of shared tools/equipment).
- Reliability: Maintain punctuality and adhere strictly to daily schedules and shifting priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for occasional truck loading/movement support).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs individually (and heavier pieces as part of a team).
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly instructions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or retail moving environment is preferred but not mandatory. We will train the right candidate!
