Director of Center Services
Center in the Park is seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Director of Center Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant community center that provides innovative programs, services, and opportunities that help older adults thrive, stay connected, and age well.
The Director of Center Services is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for overseeing Center Services, including programs and activities, the Nutrition Program, Program Office, Golden Age Café, Health Promotion program, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership, supervises staff, manages contracts and grants, develops new programs and initiatives, and ensures exceptional service for participants.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who is passionate about serving older adults, skilled in program development and staff supervision, and committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where participants, volunteers, and staff can flourish.
What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of programs, services, activities, and special events serving older adults.
- Supervise, mentor, and support Center Services staff, volunteers, trainees, and interns.
- Manage program budgets, contracts, grants, reporting requirements, and performance outcomes.
- Develop innovative programs and partnerships that advance Center in the Park's mission and strategic goals.
- Ensure high-quality participant experiences and exceptional customer service throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Leadership Team on organizational planning, operations, and community engagement.
- Represent Center in the Park with community partners, funders, and local organizations.
- Oversee participant communications, including program promotion, newsletters, website content, and social media.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Drivers License required and access to personal car for center-related travel
- Experience in program management, community services, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
- Supervisory and team leadership experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, grants, and program outcomes.
- Passion for serving older adults and strengthening communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively, think strategically, and lead with creativity and compassion.
Knowledge/Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience in program planning and development preferred.
Three years experience working with older adults preferred.
Skills Required
Proficient in Canva and all Microsoft applications
Good computer, including database creation and management; and outstanding communication skills, oral and written.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as a member of a multi-resource/task team.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
