As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an organized, dependable, and personable Office Manager / Bookkeeper to become an important part of our team.
This is more than an office job. You'll help shape our customers' experience from the moment they call or walk through our doors, while also ensuring the financial and administrative side of our business runs smoothly.
About the Position
This is a part time position, averaging 20 to 30 hours per week.
Your schedule can be flexible to fit your lifestyle. Once training has been completed and a regular schedule has been established, we ask that it remain consistent unless changes are approved in advance.
As a small family owned business, every employee wears multiple hats. While you'll have primary responsibilities in bookkeeping and office management, you'll also become knowledgeable about our company and assist customers whenever needed.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in staying organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Primary Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
A strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Recording customer payments and vendor invoices.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Monthly account balancing and financial reconciliation.
- Assisting with payroll preparation.
- Working with ownership and our CPA during month end and year end closing.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assisting with financial reporting and other accounting duties as needed.
Office Management
- Serve as one of the first points of contact for customers by answering incoming phone calls and greeting visitors to our office.
- Assist customers with general questions and direct them to the appropriate team member when necessary.
- Support our Operations Manager with daily administrative tasks.
- Maintain organized digital and physical project files.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Order and distribute supplies for our installation crews.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
- Assist with scheduling and various office projects as needed.
Customer Service
At Northern Nevada Hardwood Floors, customer service isn't one person's responsibility, it's everyone's.
Our Operations Manager serves as the primary point of contact throughout each project, but we're a small organization where every employee is expected to understand our business well enough to answer questions, assist customers, and provide an exceptional experience.
The right person enjoys helping people, communicates professionally, and takes pride in representing our company.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous bookkeeping experience.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Preferred
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Experience working in a small business.
- Customer service experience.

Compensation & Benefits
- $28.00 per hour
- Seven (7) days of Paid Time Off annually for vacation, personal time, or illness.
- In addition to your annual PTO, Northern Nevada Hardwood Floors closes between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day each year. Employees are paid for this office closure and are not required to use their PTO, providing approximately one additional week of paid time off during the holidays.
