We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, construction drawings, and schematics to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Work on low voltage and high voltage systems ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed according to NEC standards.
- Conduct renovations by updating or replacing existing wiring, fixtures, and control systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry and other trades.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate; document findings thoroughly.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical problems efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
Experience
- Proven journey-level experience as an electrician in commercial, industrial, or construction environments.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations, low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics reading.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints accurately for precise installation work.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support.
