Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items including wine and spirits options
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, spirits, wine, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages professionally, maintaining proper drink service techniques for cocktails, wine, and spirits
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing multiple tables effectively
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and transaction processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktail mixing, spirits expertise, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
- Proven ability in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters guest relations and guest satisfaction
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service
- Previous fine dining or hospitality experience preferred; familiarity with open table reservations is a plus
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately; ability to upsell menu items confidently
