Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other finish carpentry components with precision
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Install fixtures such as cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and decorative elements to enhance the aesthetic appeal of spaces
- Perform framing tasks including metal stud framing and light structural work as needed for finishing projects
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks with accuracy and quality
- Conduct surface preparation activities such as caulking, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration to ensure smooth finishes
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in finish carpentry, trim carpentry, framing carpentry, or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders) for precise craftsmanship
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to work safely in various environments including roofing or masonry sites when necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with fixture installation such as doors, cabinetry, flooring (tile or wood), siding or metal stud framing is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of building codes, restoration industry standards, and water damage remediation techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen challenges
