Muffin House Cafe is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of the cafe—welcoming customers, preparing quality beverages, assisting customers with pastry and food selections, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide excellent and efficient service
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products
- Take customer orders accurately and process POS transactions
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company standards
- Serve and package muffins, baked goods and pastries for orders
- Maintain muffin and pastry displays ensuring they remain clean, organized and well-stocked
- Restock cups, lids, syrups, milk and supplies as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness of store, dining area and works stations
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Previous cafe, coffee shop, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
