Job Summary
We are seeking an Aviation Materials Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain, procurement, inventory, and logistics operations in support of aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), and defense aviation manufacturing. In this pivotal role, you will manage daily materials and warehouse activities, maintain accuracy and compliance within Deltek Costpoint, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production scheduling and on-time delivery. Your expertise in ERP systems, regulatory requirements, and supplier management will drive operational efficiency, strengthen traceability and audit readiness, and support our commitment to high-quality aerospace products. Duties
- Inventory & Materials Management: Direct daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and material staging for aviation maintenance or assembly. Maintain strict compliance with FAA, DoD, or AS9100 quality standards.
- Deltek Costpoint Administration: Utilize Costpoint’s Materials domain (Materials Data Center, Inventory, Procurement, Receiving, and Bills of Material) to track part movement, issue inventory to specific aircraft/work orders, and generate material status reports.
- Procurement & Vendor Control: Oversee purchasing of aviation components, rotables, consumable hardware, and specialized tools. Ensure vendors comply with regulations and maintain trace documentation (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3).
- Work Order & Requisition Matching: Align material requisitions with job contracts, work breakdown structures (WBS), and flight maintenance schedules to ensure parts arrive without delaying operations.
- Audit & Compliance: Conduct cycle counts and annual inventory audits. Ensure clear audit trails within Costpoint for government-owned property (GFP/GFE) and commercial inventory.
Skills
- Aviation Background: 5+ years of materials management or supply chain experience in military aviation, defense contracting, or commercial aerospace/MRO.
- Software Proficiency: Proven, hands-on experience using Deltek Costpoint (specifically Materials, Purchasing, and Inventory modules).
- Regulatory Knowledge: understanding FAA trace standards for aircraft components.
- Key Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, supply chain forecasting, government property management, and cross-functional communication with engineers and maintenance personnel.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
