Title: Teaching Artists in Visual Art, Music, Dance, or Theater
Overview:
The Center for Educational Innovation (CEI), a NYC-based national nonprofit, is seeking experienced Teaching Artists (W2 Part-Time Employees) for the upcoming 2026-27 school year to work during the school day and/or during after school hours in the following programs. Candidates should also be familiar with integrating academic content with the arts.
- : facilitating arts programs in NYC schools with 3K-12 students, including students with IEPs.
- : leading virtual PD sessions with classroom teachers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience working as a teaching artist
- BA degree minimum
- Proficient in Google Suite (ie., Drive, Docs, Slides)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience creating arts-integrated projects and writing lessons plans
Preferred:
- Fingerprinted with NYC Department of Education
- Experience working with NYC Public Schools
- Experience teaching over Zoom
- Spanish fluency, and comfort teaching in Spanish
Rate: Full-day rate $400-500/day, depending on work assignment
