Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled veterinary technician or assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dog and cat handling and be able to draw blood from animals. Knowledge of Avimark software is a plus. Spanish speaking skills are preferred, and availability to work four hours on Saturdays is required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in veterinary medicine
- Ability to handle dogs and cats with care and attention to their needs
- Ability to draw blood from animals and place IV catheters
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Familiarity with Avimark software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability to work four hours on Saturdays
- Assist with animal examinations, surgeries, and treatments
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by the veterinarian
Compensation and Benefits: The salary for this position ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer health insurance, retirement plan, and vacation time to qualifying full time employees.
