STR Management runs a growing portfolio of short-term rental properties across Austin. We’re looking for a reliable, sharp-eyed Property Inspector to be our boots on the ground — someone who takes pride in catching the small stuff before it becomes a guest problem.
This is a field-based, independent role. You’ll move through Austin’s neighborhoods every day, run thorough property inspections, and keep our team informed so we can act fast. If you like working on your own, staying active, and actually seeing the results of your work, this is a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct 6+ property inspections daily — cleanliness, maintenance, inventory, staging, and decor
- Document property details in our management software (appliances, air filters, circuit breakers, routers, etc.)
- Coordinate with our Guest Services and Operations teams on issues
- Restock consumables and flag anything that needs attention
- Occasional guest deliveries during stays
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday with some weekend availability required
- Field-based with a morning check-in at our Austin office
- Daily routes are optimized with routing software to keep your mileage efficient
- Rotating on-call coverage shared across the team (evenings/overnight, one week at a time)
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Detail-oriented and self-directed — you’ll own your day in the field
- Comfortable with mobile apps for logging and communication
- Able to lift and transport supplies; comfortable standing for extended periods
- Background in property management, real estate, construction, hospitality, or similar is a plus
