KACK ENTERPRISE LLC is a United States Postal Service contractor. We are seeking a safety-conscious, reliable, and adaptable Part-Time CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team in a fast-paced operation. We have an immediate part-time CDL A Tractor Trailer Driver position available for local routes in Charlotte, NC. This is a touch freight position.
This position is ideal for drivers seeking schedule flexibility, supplemental income, and variety in their workday while returning home daily.
Pay:
- $33.44 per hour (Pay Breakdown: $27.89 per hour plus a $5.55 per hour Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit, paid for up to 80 hours per pay period)

Schedule:
- Part-time relief driver position
- Flexible schedule with varying weekly hours based on operational needs
- Must be available to train and drive all AM and PM routes
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, and weekends and holidays as needed
- Home daily
Typical shift windows (times are approximate and may vary):
- AM Routes: 1:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- PM Routes: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Route Overview:
Drivers report to the KACK Enterprise Yard on Aberdeen Blvd in Gastonia, NC, travel to the RPDC in Gastonia to load the trailer, then deliver and offload the mail at designated Post Offices along assigned route before returning to the yard to end the shift.
Drivers are responsible for:
- Picking up, transporting, and delivering bulk U.S. Mail using a tractor trailer.
- Physically loading and unloading mail using APCs, BMCs, and other rolling containers, and perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Collecting mail involves physically loading a tractor/trailer with rolling containers of mail.
- Dropping off mail requires physically offloading the trailer.
- Completing assigned routes and related duties safely and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that reflects safety consciousness (limited minor violations may be considered)
- Ability to pass: Postal background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to safely maneuver and back tractor-trailers in tight spaces
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Maintain logs and transportation documentation
- Use navigation and route tools including: GPS, Smartphone (required), Google Maps and/or MapQuest, and the Samsara App
- Detailed knowledge of and ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including: Hours of Service (HOS), Vehicle inspections, and Transportation safety requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to: Time-sensitive deliveries, Traffic delays, and various weather conditions
- Ability to maintain safe operating practices while managing the physical and mental demands of commercial driving.
