Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter/Drywall Repair Specialist to join our dynamic renovation and construction team. Must have previous experience in brush cutting and NOT taping. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior and exterior painting services, as well as performing drywall repairs to ensure surfaces are smooth, durable, and visually appealing. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Accurately estimate project materials and time requirements using construction estimating skills.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other power tools for both interior and exterior surfaces.
- Perform drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing to create seamless wall surfaces.
- Execute caulking and trim carpentry tasks to improve the aesthetic finish of walls, moldings, and fixtures.
- Use hand tools such as putty knives, trowels, saws, drills, and wrenches efficiently for various repair tasks.
- Assist with renovation projects by supporting fixture installation, or restoration efforts as needed.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following protocols related to scaffolding, power tools, welding (if applicable), and industrial painting practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory for achieving desired finishes.
- Hands-on experience with drywall repair including taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics for precise project execution in renovation or remodeling settings.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety procedures related to scaffolding, power tools, welding (if applicable), and maintenance tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project planning.
- Skills in carpentry—such as trim carpentry or frame carpentry—and masonry work like stucco or concrete finishing are advantageous.
- Handyman experience that includes fixture installation or general maintenance tasks is beneficial for versatile support roles.
