Founded in 1989 as a 7500 square foot scene shop, Mystic Custom Fabrication has expanded over the last 35 years into a full-service fabrication company specializing in broadcast environments, museum exhibits, high end custom millwork, and restaurant interiors. We now have over 100 employees and occupy over 100,000 square feet of production space in Norwood, Massachusetts. Mystic has become an industry leader in custom fabrication of millwork and studio set construction. Our diverse client and project base frequently requires us to find creative solutions to a variety of design challenges.
We are looking for experienced CNC Router Programmer who will be responsible for programming the CNC Router while working with other members of our CNC Department to operate and maintain two CNC Routers. Our unique, fast-paced work environment allows for many problem solving and collaboration opportunities.
Duties:
- Use EnRoute software to create files for cutting.
- Work with other members of our CNC Department to operate and maintain two CNC Routers.
- Maintain quality control, including checking dimensions of parts to be sure they meet drawing specifications using calipers, gauges, and other appropriate tools.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Operation Managers, and all other departments.
- Help maintain department cleanliness
Requirements:
- Previous experience programming, operating and maintaining a CNC Router
- Independent self-starter with problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, organized while remaining flexible
- Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs., load, and unload material from machine
Preferred skills:
- Experience with EnRoute Software
- Forklift operation and materials handling
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position may be active and require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to loud noises, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
