Point of Care Program Coordinator
Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Point of Care Program Coordinator to join their team! This position will be Full-Time Day Shift: Monday-Friday, Every Other Weekend

Point of Care Program Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- The Point of Care Program Coordinator designs and implements an appropriate plan for all Point of Care operators to ensure consistent education, training and competency assessments.
- Develops and implement a quality management plan for the Point of Care testing program.
- Manages all administrative and operational aspects of the Point of Care testing program.
- Provides technical and supervisory direction to ensure that all Point of Care testing complies with standards established by Laboratory Services, CAP, CLIA, The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Reviews, evaluates, and validates new instrument systems or Point of Care tests prior to introduction into the clinical setting.
- Leads POCT Committee quarterly meetings with representatives from testing units; Serves as a Liaison with clinicians, nurses, laboratorians and other healthcare providers to ensure successful/appropriate POCT.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Histo/Cyto Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science .
Experience - 3 years of relevant experience
Certification Upon Start: ASCP or AMT Board certification consistent with scope of responsibility to include MT, MLS, MLT, BB, SBB, C, H, M, SH, SCT, MB, SMB, SM, SC, and HEW.
