Job Summary
Nationwide Transport Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for auditing transportation orders from inception through completion to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, FMCSA regulations, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The ideal candidate has experience in the transportation or logistics industry, understands freight brokerage operations, and possesses exceptional analytical and communication skills. This individual will work closely with sales representatives, dispatchers, carrier sales, customer service, claims, and management to identify issues, improve processes, and maintain the highest level of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit transportation orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify carrier qualifications, insurance, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all required documents have been properly executed and uploaded.
- Monitor orders for compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, and potential fraud indicators.
- Communicate quality issues with brokers, dispatchers, and management.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, freight brokerage, logistics, or quality assurance. (Preferred but not required)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
