Mad Science of Pittsburgh is seeking additional Mad Scientists for our Summer Camps in and around Pittsburgh! Must have a fun personality and a strong desire to work with children. Perfect for students looking for real classroom experience. No science background required- we will train!
Summer camps run Monday through Friday at various parks, schools, and recreation centers around Allegheny county, including Upper St. Clair, Peters Township, Mt. Lebanon, Baierl YMCA, Marshall Township, Lauri Ann West, Monroeville, North Huntingdon, and more! Choose between working half day or full day!
You MUST have the appropriate clearances to work with children and reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
Arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to set up
Teach session and monitor children during breaks
Dismiss children to parents and clean up materials
Drop off equipment and pick up materials for the next day from our office in Millvale.
Required:
A desire to learn and work with children in grades K-5
Reliable transportation
Light lifting
All appropriate clearances (PA State, PA Child Abuse History, and FBI Clearances)
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training
Protecting God's Children Clearance (Optional)
