Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages. The Interpreter will convert spoken statements from one language to another, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the interpretation process.
Duties
- Translate verbal communication from one language to another in various settings
- Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, medical appointments, and other events
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while translating sensitive information
- Adapt language and tone to cultural differences for better understanding
- Assist in bridging communication gaps between individuals who do not speak the same language
Skills
- Proficiency in linguistics with a strong command of multiple languages
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
- Ability to accurately translate and interpret spoken words in real-time
- Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and effectively
- Being multilingual and bilingual is an advantage for this role
