SUMMARY
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations on both new construction and home repair projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective task completion while following all requisite safety and quality standards. This includes supervising construction teams, coordinating subcontractors and volunteer groups, ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and safety standards. The Construction Superintendent will report to the Construction Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Site Management
Supervise daily operations on all construction sites, ensuring smooth progress.
Coordinate with staff, subcontractors, vendors, and volunteers to ensure progress as planned.
Ensure that construction work is completed according to design specifications, within budget, and on schedule.
· Team Leadership
Manage, mentor and supervise on-site construction teams, including staff, volunteers, partners and subcontractors.
Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety standards and regulations.
Resolve conflicts or issues that arise on-site to maintain a productive working environment.
· Quality Control
Monitor construction processes to ensure that quality standards are met.
Inspect work to ensure adherence to design, codes, and regulations.
Address any discrepancies or errors in construction immediately.
· Scheduling and Coordination
Verify that work is being performed on schedule.
Coordinate and oversee the delivery of materials and equipment to site.
Ensure that resources are being allocated as needed to meet deadlines.
· Reporting and Communication
Provide regular updates to the Construction Director on the status, needs and challenges of ongoing projects.
Prepare and maintain task lists, inventories, photographic evidence, and other documentation as required.
Act as the main point of contact for all on-site personnel, addressing concerns and facilitating communication
REQUIREMENTS
· Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction.
3 years in a supervisory role.
Residential construction background is preferred.
· Skills
Strong leadership and management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, residential building codes, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn and utilize software as needed.
Familiarity with Xactimate, Neighborly a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

· Physical Demands
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of heavy materials

Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
· Transportation
Valid driver license.
Reliable transportation.
Clean driving record.
Ability to drive trucks and pull trailers.
