Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales (The "Ham-bassador" Role):
- Provide exceptional customer service in a friendly, polite, and efficient manner.
- Demonstrate superior product knowledge to effectively articulate product features and benefits (e.g., hams, turkeys, sides, desserts).
- Drive add-on sales through proactive and friendly suggestion selling.
- Accurately and quickly process customer transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Take and fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Store Operations & Food Preparation:
- Assist with food preparation and packaging according to company standards (this may include handling or working with a hot torch for glazing, depending on the role).
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and merchandising displays.
- Stock and restock products and supplies efficiently to meet high demand.
- Consistently follow all processes, procedures, and company standards in all areas, from service to food control.
Teamwork & Safety:
- Take initiative and remain productive throughout the entire shift.
- Work collaboratively with the team to manage high-volume customer traffic.
- Adhere strictly to all safety, security, and respectful workplace policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Excellent attention to detail and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Prior customer service, retail, or food preparation experience is preferred (e.g., cashier, crew member, cook, sales associate).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days leading up to and on the major holiday. This role is a great fit for students, teachers, retirees, or anyone seeking a side gig.
- Physical dexterity and mobility to perform the demands of the job, which may include standing for long periods, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies (up to 50-65 pounds for some production roles).
