Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Marketing & Communications, the Website Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting Massasoit's existing website and digital technologies, including massasoit.edu and massasoitccwarriors.com. The incumbent must display excellent attention to detail, project management abilities, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding and knowledge of compliant HTML and CSS as well as WCAG 2.1 AA digital accessibility standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain, enhance, and edit Massasoit's existing website with a focus on massasoit.edu, via Modern Campus CMS.

Support massasoitccwarriors.com by suggesting best practices and proactively collaborating with the Athletics Department.

Administer CMS user accounts, permissions, and training, ensuring consistent application of the College's web governance, content standards, and brand guidelines.

Monitor and coordinate accessibility reviews of the College's web properties, recommending and implementing remediation efforts to support conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards and applicable Title II ADA requirements.

Working with a cross-functional team inclusive of campus colleagues and external vendors, ensure web pages are optimized with keywords, meta descriptions, and structural improvements to boost organic search ranking.

Under the direction of the Manager of Strategic Marketing & Communications, monitor metrics utilizing built in measurements tools in Modern Campus, Google Analytics, and other available tools. Set up automated reports and dashboards as directed.

Create and maintain knowledge base articles for best practices across campus.

Establishes and maintain an information architecture that is well organized, user-friendly and presents a consistent look and feel.

Ensures website architecture and content meet college standards. Ensures that assigned websites provide up-to-date and comprehensive information that is easily available.

Other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

A minimum of 3 years of CMS or related experience

Demonstrated experience managing a website

Self-motivated and detail oriented

Experience collaborating with large groups of stakeholders

Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

Understanding of digital accessibility standards with WCAG 2.1 AA or higher preferred

Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for web and digital-first properties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to work collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines while managing multiple priority assignments

General understanding of SEO

Ability to promptly respond to support related tickets, emails, and communications

Exceptional organizational skills

Higher Education experience preferred

Additional Information:
Position Status: Non-Unit Professional, Full-Time State Funded with Benefits.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Hybrid Schedule Option: This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule in accordance with the College's telework policy and may be limited based on departmental needs.
Salary: $68,000-$85,000
