Schedule: WEEKENDS ONLY. 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm
Facility Overview
Ocean View Psychiatric Health Facility is an adult psychiatric hospital in Long Beach that provides acute inpatient psychiatric treatment, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services in a structured, therapeutic environment. The facility is currently expanding its services and bed capacity from 39 to 79 beds to support both voluntary and involuntary mental health treatment needs while focusing on patient safety, stabilization, and continuity of care.
Position Summary
The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe staffing, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of patient care services.
Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site leadership for all departments during assigned shifts

Ensure safe staffing levels and appropriate patient assignments

Serve as the primary escalation point for clinical and operational issues

Support nursing staff with clinical decision-making and crisis intervention

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and patient safety standards

Coordinate admissions, discharges, and bed management

Respond to emergencies, including behavioral crises and codes
