POSITION DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Tech – Animal Feed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains quality and productivity by ensuring reliable operation of Manufacturing and Packaging machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Controls downtime by informing leadership of routine preventive maintenance needs and timelines.
- Fabricates repair of parts by use of machine shop equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed parts, and supplies.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Position Title: Production Line Associate Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Position Summary: Ensuring that productivity standards are met with product manufactured. Assemble and pack product to meet company expectations. Ensure product quality and efficiency is maintained.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining equipment in order to meet company specifications during assembly, manufacturing, and packing to meet safety, quality and efficiency expectations
- Provides direct support to all production team members
- Maintains production equipment to a safe and reliable state
- Maintains a clean work environment
- Follows safe practices and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-Driven
- Ability to multitask
- Basic math skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn how to use Excel and Word
- Timely and predictable attendance is a requirement
- Scheduling must remain flexible to support the needs of the Production Schedule
- The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a manufacturing environment: The job requires long periods of standing with regular walking and the occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of various objects up to 30lbs
- Employee is responsible for using and maintaining required and supplied PPE to perform duties.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision

- 4x10 (overtime required if necessary)

- Maintenance 5 year (Required)
- Electrical 5 year (helpful)
