SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Office Manager and Director, the Registrar is responsible and accountable for registering patients at all points of Interventional Pain Management. The Registrar may facilitate the pre-registration and scheduling of all indicated patients via phone call registration prior to the date of service. The Registrar is responsible for ensuring that all regulatory and insurance specific documentation is presented to each patient for signature. The Registrar is responsible for verifying benefits and eligibility of the patient’s insurance. The Registrar is responsible for ensuring that all patient registration information is accurately verified 100% of the time.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Healthstream Policy Manager.
Required to work with the Director of Pain Clinic regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Pain Management Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 6 to 12 months related healthcare and/or customer service preferred.
Other: Prefer applicant will have a working knowledge insurance benefits basics. Adaptability to multiple systems is essential.
