Haga Defense is a growing small business based in Towson, MD, specializing in high-quality firearms parts and accessories. As the owner/operator, I'm building the company from the ground up and looking for an additional team member to help scale operations.
Position Overview
I'm hiring an Assembly & Shipping Associate to handle core day-to-day production and fulfillment tasks at the office. This hands-on role focuses primarily on assembling products, packaging orders, shipping, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble firearms parts and accessories according to specifications and quality standards
- Package, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory levels, restock products, and place orders as needed
- Transport packages to the post office or other carriers (reliable personal transportation required)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with general shop tasks and help improve processes as the business grows
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation (for regular post office runs)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (shipping software, simple inventory tools, etc.)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a small, growing company
- Availability Monday–Friday between 9am and 4pm
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or shipping
- Familiarity with firearms or shooting sports
- Knowledge of basic inventory management
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience and skills)
- General benefits: Paid time off (prorated for part-time), potential performance bonuses, and opportunities for growth as the company expands. No health, dental, vision, or retirement.
This is a part-time position (approx. 20-35 hours/week) with the potential to grow into full-time as the company scales. Hours are flexible within Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm.
Important Notes
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) due to the nature of our products and potential ITAR compliance requirements for design-related work.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Maryland Handgun Qualification License (Preferred)
- Maryland Wear & Carry Permit (Preferred)
