Salary:
- Estimator II: $60,000 – $75,000
- Estimator III: $75,000 – $90,000
Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is hiring Estimator II and Estimator III professionals for a direct-hire role with a manufacturing company out of Roanoke, VA.
Job Summary
Prepare cost estimates, bids, and written proposals for complex electrical projects based on customer specifications and sales input. This role requires strong experience with medium and high voltage electrical power systems and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bids, and written proposals
- Read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical drawings
- Review specifications, identify discrepancies, and develop clarifications
- Determine material quantities and labor costs
- Coordinate pricing with Purchasing and labor data with HR
- Support Business Development Managers with quote follow-up
- Ensure proposals align with customer specifications and POs
Qualifications
- One-year certificate or Associate degree
- Strong written, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Medium & high voltage power systems
- Switchgear, MCCs, relay panels, and VFDs
- High-amperage power distribution and bus ducting
- Data center electrical infrastructure
- 2+years estimating experience
