Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical support to individuals across diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities like psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educational staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while adhering to telehealth best practices and clinical ethical guidelines.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, and grief counseling.
- Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management, and social work principles.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning using clinical research methods.
- Excellent patient communication skills with a focus on client-centered care in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation; telehealth experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or chronic pain conditions; knowledge of psychopharmacology is a plus.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice standards while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $40.88 - $45.00 per hour
