JOB TITLE: AFTER SCHOOL ADMIN ASSISTANTTEAM: THE G AFTER 3REPORTS TO: AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM COORDINATORCALENDAR: 176 DAYSSCHEDULE: 2:15 PM - 6:15 PM, MONDAY - FRIDAYFLSA STATUS: NON EXEMPT (HOURLY) SALARY RANGE: $15.00 POSITION SUMMARYThe After School Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the after school program by ensuring accurate student accountability, maintaining organized records, and providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for managing student check-in and check-out procedures, verifying authorized individuals for student pick-up, and assisting with clerical and administrative tasks to support a safe, organized, and positive after school environment.Our staff actively engages with children in a responsible, enthusiastic, and meaningful manner in order to provide a safe and positive after school experience. Team members serve as encouragers, mentors, role models, and support staff while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere for students and families. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage daily student check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficientlyMaintain accountability for all students enrolled in the program at all timesVerify parent/guardian identification and ensure only authorized individuals are permitted to pick up students in the afterschool programMaintain accurate attendance records, student files, and program documentationAssist with clerical duties including making copies and signs, answering phones, responding to emails, filing, data entry, and preparing reports as neededGreet and welcome parents, guardians, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly mannerCommunicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student attendance, program updates, and general informationSupport the Program Coordinator with daily operational and administrative needsMaintain confidentiality of student and family informationManage public access to the facility and ensure campus safety procedures are followedAssist in monitoring students and supporting staff during program activities as neededDemonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude at all timesTake initiative to solve problems and respond appropriately in urgent situationsMeet assigned deadlines and complete tasks in a timely mannerCommunicate openly & work collaboratively with school personnel and after school program staffPerform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent required TRAININGFirst Aid and CPR CertificationCPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) CertificationChild Abuse Awareness and Bullying Awareness TrainingOther designated staff training as required DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTSClosed-toe athletic shoes and comfortable appropriate attire for working with childrenStaff member shirt (provided) WORKING CONDITIONSDuties involve walking, sitting, standing, indoor and outdoor activities, and occasional lifting.Must maintain a level of general physical and emotional health that permits effective performance of duties.Regularly lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
