Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires expertise in operating different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all regulations.
Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks including flatbeds, Lowboys and dump trucks. Candidate must have prior driving experience and clean driving record.
- Execute route driving responsibilities efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Utilize manual transmission when necessary to operate specific truck models effectively.
- Demonstrate proficiency in commercial driving practices and maintain a clean driving record.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the ability to operate tractor-trailers and various truck types.
- Experience in driving with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures and freight handling techniques.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading purposes.
- Strong knowledge of route navigation and delivery protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
