Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to enhance ride quality and safety standards.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Service vehicles with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid replacements.
- Collaborate with customers to explain repairs clearly, providing excellent customer service and building trust in our expertise.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
- Experience working on ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other vehicle safety features.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required; a solid foundation in automotive diagnostics is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, and electrical wiring.
- Proficiency with automotive repair tools such as hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
