Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Over the Road (OTR) Truck Driver to join our team. Home most weekends. The ideal candidate will have experience and possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
Pneumatic, Hopper, Step Deck and Flatbed trailer experience or willingness to learn.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles over long distances across multiple routes
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road
- Adhere to all federal and state transportation laws and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission preferred
- Experience operating Pneumatic, Hopper, Step Deck and Flatbed is a plus
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures and route planning for efficient deliveries
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in commercial trucking
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents in recent years
- Ability to work independently on long-haul routes while maintaining professionalism and safety standards
