State Compensation Insurance Fund’s San Jose/Salinas Legal Department is seeking a motivated attorney to join our exceptional team. At State Fund, we represent insured employers and various California State Agencies and handle challenging workers' compensation-related issues. As an attorney with us, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact by defending, litigating, and resolving workers’ compensation cases. You’ll be at the forefront of depositions, administrative hearings, and court appearances - ensuring justice is served to our clients.
Location:
State Fund is hiring an attorney to appear at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board in Salinas (Monterey County) but may also be assigned to appear at any board in California.
We are seeking a candidate who is located in Monterey, Santa Clara, San Benito or Santa Cruz County.
Your Role:

- Collaborating closely with internal and external clients
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence and communications
- Conducting thorough discovery
- Skillfully negotiating and drafting settlements
- Appearing at hearings and trials
