Blue Water Home Care & Hospice is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Director of Finance to join our executive leadership team. As Director of Finance, you will oversee all aspects of the agency's financial operations while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in healthcare finance, reimbursement, budgeting, payroll, audits, and strategic planning.

What You'll Do
As our Director of Finance, you will:
- Lead the organization's overall financial strategy and daily financial operations.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-range financial planning.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Manage billing and reimbursement processes to maximize third-party collections and financial performance.
- Prepare and oversee the annual Medicare Cost Report and serve as the agency liaison throughout the cost reporting process.
- Coordinate annual financial statement and retirement plan audits.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
- Monitor organizational cash flow and financial performance while identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Prepare financial reports for executive leadership, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Medicare regulations, federal and state requirements, and CHAP standards.
- Evaluate the financial impact of contracts, grants, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial aspects of agency projects, including budgeting, milestone tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with department leaders to support organizational goals and sustainable growth.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive financial management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Grant management and financial reporting
- Medical billing, insurance reimbursement, and Medicare cost reporting
- Financial audits and regulatory compliance
- CHAP accreditation standards
- Information systems and financial software
