Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living environment. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Serve meals to residents in a timely manner, ensuring that dietary restrictions are respected.
- Buss tables and clean dining areas after meals, maintaining a tidy environment for residents.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain inventory of food supplies and report any shortages.
- Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to meet health regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the culinary or food service industry is preferred, especially in assisted living or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents and staff.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts.
