Torch Lake Veterinary Clinic is looking for a credentialed veterinary technician to join the team. Team work, positive work culture, and the nurturing of a learning environment are all musts. We are located 5 miles from beautiful Torch Lake in Rapid City, Michigan.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures
- Take x-rays including dental xrays.
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications
- Certification or degree in veterinary technology or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including venipuncture and IV catheterization
- Ability to handle dogs, cats, and other small animals with care and compassion
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
