Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager – South America is responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share within assigned markets. This role will identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sales performance through direct engagement and channel management.
The position is based in Chile and supports regional operations, with primary responsibility for Chile, Brazil, and Peru.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The following responsibilities are representative and not exhaustive:
Provide sales leadership to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability objectives aligned with the Company’s Sales Plan
Develop and execute business development strategies across existing and new markets within the assigned region
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with customers, distributors, representatives, and OEM partners
Manage and optimize sales channels to ensure effective market coverage and growth
Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance customer engagement and brand presence in targeted industries
Actively manage all aspects of the sales cycle, including opportunity development, forecasting, proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract execution
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and reports
Monitor and communicate market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing trends, and regional developments
Support technical and commercial discussions in collaboration with engineering and application teams, including specification review and solution development
Coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance) to ensure alignment and successful execution of projects
Provide guidance, training, and performance support to channel partners
Contribute to strategic planning and policy deployment through regular reporting and participation in sales reviews
Achieve or exceed assigned bookings, revenue, and profitability (PBIT) targets
Travel as required to support business development across South America, including Chile, Brazil, and Peru
Observe all safety requirements and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership
Experience in industrial markets such as pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience managing distributors and regional sales channels
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and execute growth initiatives
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Spanish and English required
Working Conditions
Position is based in Chile with regional responsibilities across South America
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 30–50% of the time
Work schedule may vary based on business needs and time zone differences
