Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure products are well-organized and appealing
- Promote upselling opportunities by recommending additional products or services to customers
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support grocery store operations by ensuring proper product placement, inventory management, and stock replenishment
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and basic cash handling procedures is essential
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are key to building rapport with customers
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling can enhance the customer experience and sales performance
