Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hardscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor construction and landscaping, focusing on the installation and maintenance of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Install hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert recommendations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to design specifications.
- Prepare sites by grading land, removing debris, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Utilize various tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and placing materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardscape installations to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
- Work alongside other construction professionals in areas such as drywall installation, flooring installation, cabinet installation, plastering, glass installation, and plumbing as needed.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide clients with accurate project quotes.
Experience
- Proven experience in hardscaping or related construction fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction management principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for interpreting project plans.
- Experience with drywall installation, flooring installation, cabinet installation, plastering, glass installation, or plumbing will be considered advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to restore or repair existing hardscape features as necessary.
