The Mechanical Assembler assembles product per assembly drawings, manufacturing procedures and work instructions (travelers) through use of industrial equipment, welders and tooling.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for
- Coordinating work efforts to perform assembly of components per assembly drawings/bill of material
- Managing your time to ensure production deadlines are met
- Operating industrial equipment (furnaces, ovens, lathes, welding power supplies, etc.)
- Reading, understanding and adhering to manufacturing documentation (drawings, manufacturing procedures, standard operating procedures, etc.)
- Producing products which conform to design and manufacturing specifications
- Cross-functional communication to request support, contribute to solutions or ensure timely completion of assigned work, among others
- Manufacturing mastery and Ownership of multiple product lines which support Nuclear power generation
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a good mechanical background
- Have experience welding mechanical assemblies
- Have hands-on experience
- Have experience in using mechanical hand tools, ovens/furnaces and other equipment
- Have great dexterity and ability to use small parts for assembly
- Be willing to learn/train on manufacturing processes, spanning multiple product lines
- Possess a strong work ethic and self-motivated drive
