Counseling & Psychotherapy Center is seeking a bilingual Licensed or License eligible clinicians for full or part-time positions.
Bilingual-Spanish. Part time. Juveniles/Emerging Adults in the 2 youth facilities and 3 virtual groups (for as long as we have them).
Position Overview: The Bilingual Staff Clinician is licensed and has educational and work experience in court-ordered sex offender treatment programs.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment and treatment services of sex offenders in a secure facility or community setting;
- Complete required assessments on clients assigned to caseload, including but not limited to actuarial and dynamic risk assessment, sexual interests, personality measures, cognitive and achievement tests;
- Take primary responsibility in developing new treatment plans, as well as refining and updating existing plans;
- Develop treatment objectives and interventions, tailored to client’s dynamic risk factors and strengths;
- Facilitate Psychoeducational and Process therapy groups, provide individual psychotherapy that is consistent with cognitive behavioral principles;
- Chair Containment Team Meetings;
- Participate in the oversight and quality control of peers and contract counselors which may include formal clinical supervision;
- Attend trainings on conducting treatment according to CPC’s program guidelines;
- Review documentation and meet with clients to review work and manage customer relations;
- Work closely and keep a good working relationship with Probation and Parole;
- Work in an independent setting with strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail;
- Follow agency protocols and participate in weekly training/supervision calls with CPC Clinical Supervision Staff;
- Commitment to professional development;
- Adheres to professional and confidentiality requirements in handling client records;
- Maintains appropriate documentation;
- Maintains and promotes a collaborative attitude in all internal and external relationships.
Position Requirements:
- Bilingual Preferred NOT Required
- Masters Degree or higher;
- Two years of relevant professional experience;
- California State Licensed;
- Pursue Sex Offense Treatment Provider Certification through the California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB);
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Understanding and experience in risk management;
- CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing experience a plus;
- Experience providing Sex Offender Treatment, DV or Substance Abuse Treatment to adults or adolescents;
- Forensic outpatient treatment experience and substantial focus on group facilitation;
- CCOSO or ATSA membership preferred.

Education & Licensing Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral level degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related field.
- Must have a valid LCSW/LICSW, LMHC, LMFT or Psychologist license.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Understanding of risk management
- CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing experience
- Clinical outpatient treatment experience and substantial focus on group facilitation
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience providing Sex Offender Treatment, DV or Substance Abuse Treatment
- Spanish speaking preferred but not necessary.
