Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring the reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems. As an Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Duties Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including, but not limited to, Guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas.
2. Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
3. Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work and masonry.
4. Refurbish, paint and repair furniture and fixtures within guestrooms.
5. Install, replace, and program televisions.
6. Test, examine, and maintain hotel’s safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times.
7. Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance on a scheduled bases; collaborate on major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, laundry, boilers, pool, HVAC, hand power tools, and plumbing system.
8. Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
9. Help keep the mechanical areas safe, orderly, clean, and maintain legible orderly records.
10. Respond in a courteous manner to all guests’ questions, complaints, and/or repair requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in troubleshooting industrial machinery and equipment
- Extensive electrical experience covering both high voltage and low voltage systems; ability to interpret schematics accurately
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, facilities management practices, and building systems operations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams; strong leadership qualities are essential
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; comfortable working from schematics and technical diagrams
- Must have the ability to communicate in English; self-starting personality with an even disposition. You must have effective communication skills and a professional manner. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. This job requires complete mobility and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or pull equipment. This position requires carrying a radio while on duty and may require operating snow removal equipment; you may also be required to work outside in all types of weather. Specific vision abilities; close, color, and ability to adjust focus; possible exposure to extreme temperatures. Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
