Position Summary
Mountain Minds is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse Consultant to join our team. This role involves performing routine health visits (only quarterly on site), reviewing policies, and ensuring compliance with Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) regulations. The Nurse Consultant will serve as a trusted resource for licensed child care providers across Colorado.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine health and safety visits (monthly, quarterly, or as needed) to licensed child care programs
- Provide consulting on child health, wellness, infection control, and safety practices
- Support child care programs with medication administration guidance
- Offer recommendations in line with Colorado Child Care Licensing rules and best practices
- Maintain visit records and submit documentation to Mountain Minds in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the Mountain Minds team to support providers with any emerging health-related concerns
Required Qualifications
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, school health, or public/community health
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and making field visits
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to child care sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pediatric nurse
Work Schedule & Details
This is a contract position offering flexible hours. Nurse Consultants may take on as many or as few client sites as desired. Visits are typically scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours.
