The Real Estate Paralegal provides legal and administrative support to attorneys and real estate professionals in connection with commercial and residential real estate transactions. This role assists with preparing legal documents, conducting title and property research, coordinating closings, maintaining transaction files, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, easements, mortgages, and closing documents.
- Conduct title searches and review title commitments, surveys, and related property records.
- Coordinate real estate closings and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Manage transaction timelines and communicate with attorneys, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients.
- Prepare closing statements and assist with post-closing activities, including recording documents and maintaining files.
- Review due diligence materials related to acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing transactions.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal real estate regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to real estate transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of legal correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Support attorneys in resolving title, zoning, and property-related issues.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate law.
- Experience supporting commercial and/or residential real estate transactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, title review, and closing processes.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, documents, and procedures related to real estate law.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Knowledge of title software and real estate transaction management systems is a plus.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
