Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and optimize our supply chain processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services. Your expertise will drive cost efficiencies, enhance supplier relationships, and support manufacturing and production planning objectives. Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms to streamline purchasing workflows
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to forecast demand, plan materials requirements (MRP), and support production planning initiatives
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and foster strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chains
- Coordinate logistics activities related to inbound shipments, inventory management, and distribution to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance procurement processes
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or procurement within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or equivalent platforms for procurement and inventory management
- Familiarity with demand planning, MRP systems, and production planning methodologies
- Hands-on experience with purchasing negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship development
- Understanding of logistics operations, plant management practices, and supply chain optimization strategies
- Ability to analyze data effectively to inform procurement decisions and improve overall supply chain performance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strategic partnerships
