Hyatt Regency Frisco is ideally located just 25 minutes north of Dallas and features 303 guestrooms along with 27,500 square feet of meeting and event space. This 18-story hotel sits in the heart of Frisco, TX, at Stonebriar Centre, just steps away from Dr. Pepper Ballpark, Toyota Stadium (home of FC Dallas), the Frisco Discovery Center, and a wide variety of dining and entertainment options.
The Security Manager is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the department to ensure protection of property assets, colleagues, guests and hotel grounds. Key responsibility areas include supporting department performance, the administrative of incident reports and written plan compliance, development of security-related programs and proper training of security topics for leaders and colleagues in the hotel. Additionally, this position may support other rooms departments in the hotel as needed based on business levels. The ideal candidate will need to have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting supervision of the day to day security operations of the property to ensure the safety of all guests, colleagues and property, including risk, loss management of property, workplace safety and life/fire safety systems.
- Supervise and assist in handling and documenting guest and colleague accidents, guest room lock problems, noise complaints, and any questionable individuals on the premises.
- Supervise and assist in documenting all incidents occurring in the hotel in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements while remaining objective and comprehensive in report writing.
- Supervise and assist in the handling of unusual guest or colleague problems, including disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, colleague or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbance, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters.
- Assist in implementing preventative safety and security programs and trainings across all departments in the hotel.
- Remain informed of current Federal and local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in areas of guest, patron and colleague rights.
- Engage and make contact with every guest. Respond to guest comments and criticism in a constructive and positive manner, looking at such as an opportunity to build guest satisfaction. Educate and empower subordinate supervisors and associates to act in a similar capacity.
- Assist in conducting regular associate/departmental meetings and administer counseling, discipline to colleagues as necessary and provide training and recognition to colleagues at all levels to maintain a team-oriented environment.
